Wheelie 180

October 11th, 2007

The next one we’ll look at is sort of a continuation of the “wheelie”
back in trick 2 with a bit of Trick 3 mixed in there too. Here we go…..

You guessed it – back to that nice gentle slope for practicing. And yes,
start riding downhill in a straight line.

When you’re ready to begin the trick, crouch down slightly and move your
weight this time on to your front foot, lifting the tail of your board off
the ground. Now execute a 180-degree turn using your board’s tail as the
pivot.

Keep your balance until you finish the turn and you’ve switched your
stance.

This is known as a “nose” or “tail” roll. It’s pretty much all about
balance and timing.

As ever – practice, practice, practice and you’ll soon be pulling this move
off at will.
