What the heck is a kicker you might say? Well its one of those things you go flying off on your board, its a massive mound of snow that looks like one big cheese wedge that you usually see in snowboard movies. Here is a quick step by step guide to building one.
Step 1
Excavate - When you build a kicker the first step is to get rid of the powder. Underneath is this nice hard packed snow that is the type you want for this. SO you are going to have to roll up the sleeves and get in there digging.
Step 2
Cut your blocks - To get really good blocks out of snow you want to make sure you dont make them too big, they are super heavy, you can easily break your shovel
Step 3
Stackem High - Start making a fort with the blocks. Keep building it up nice and high for the jump you want to do, every four to five layers you want to fill it in with more snow, pack it all around nicely. Get the shape you want
Step 4
Sculpt it - Last part before you go hog wild. You need to put the finishing touches, patting and scraping until it looks like its part of the park, Some kickers the good ones can take multiple days to create .. so have fun
